Issue 4 of ACRES Donegal newsletter out now

The ACRES Donegal Newsletter was created to provide short snippets of information to help ACRES Co-operation farmers understand the scheme better and to prompt farmers on upcoming deadlines.

This latest issue (No. 4) provides further information on Landscape Actions featuring Peatland Restoration actions, a spotlight on Himalayan Balsam management, and how to get actions started on your commonage. The third LA window will be open for applications in the autumn but the newsletter reminds farmers that the NPI Window is now open until Oct 14th.‍ ‍

There’s also a link to Episode 3 of Uplands Voices featuring the plight of the Corncrake, one of our iconic rural birds which has suffered severe declines in recent years. Listen in to learn more about how ACRES is helping to support this important species.
