Open Day - What is Peatland Restoration?

Join us for our open day and take a tour on a live peatland restoration site where we will see the digger restoring peat banks, talk with the farmer on his decision to restore the peatland and discuss Landscape Actions available for peatland.

SATURDAY 7TH NOVEMBER 2026.

Meeting in carpark of GLENVEAGH NATIONAL PARK

Three time slots available:  09:00am, 11:00am or 1:00pm

A shuttle bus will operate between the park and the farm restoration site (5-minute drive).

From Glenveagh National Park we will have a shuttle bus that will take you to and from the farm restoration site (5-minute drive). This would be a great opportunity to see and discuss Peatland Restoration, Landscape Actions and exploring the possibilities for you own farm.

The tour will last 1 hour and 30 minutes and please arrive 15 minutes before your chosen time slot.

This will be an outdoor event so wear appropriate clothing. Wellies or strong boots recommended.
